Notre voyage à Houston a commencé par un long vol de 10 heures. Même si c’était fatigant, arriver aux États-Unis était très enthousiasmant.

La vie scolaire fut une partie importante du voyage. Nous sommes allés à l’école avec nos correspondants et nous nous sommes bien intégrés. Nous avons rencontré de nombreux élèves et nous nous sommes rapidement fait des amis. C’était intéressant de découvrir un système scolaire différent et la vie quotidienne dans une école américaine.

Nous avons aussi visité plusieurs endroits intéressants. L’un d’eux était le Crocodile Encounter, qui est une ferme de crocodiles. Un autre moment fort a été la visite du centre spacial de la NASA, où nous avons vu des fusées, en particulier Saturn V, ainsi que de nombreux objets fascinants comme de vraies combinaisons spatiales. Le moment le plus impressionnant a été lorsque nous avons touché une véritable pierre de lune.

Il y a aussi eu de nombreux moments amusants et conviviaux. Pendant le week-end, une pool party a été organisée chez l’une des familles américaines, ce qui fut un moment idéal pour se détendre et s’amuser. Certains élèves ont également visité Houston, tandis que d’autres ont passé du temps avec leurs correspondants.

Enfin, l’un des meilleurs moments du voyage a été le match de NBA entre les Houston Rockets et les Jazz de l’Utah. L’ambiance était incroyable, et les Rockets ont remporté le match de manière impressionnante.

À la fin du séjour, dire au revoir et prendre le vol de 8 heures pour rentrer en France fut assez émouvant.

Mes camarades et moi souhaitons également remercier nos professeurs, Mme Dusart, M. Renaudin et Mme Mitrevski, qui ont organisé et accompagné ce voyage. Nous leur sommes très reconnaissants pour leur soutien et leur engagement. Nous voulons aussi remercier les familles américaines qui nous ont accueillis chez elles. Elles ont été très gentilles et nous ont permis de nous sentir à l’aise pendant notre séjour. Grâce à elles, nous avons découvert une nouvelle culture et créé des souvenirs inoubliables.

The trip to Houston was a great experience, starting with a long 10-hour flight. Even if it was tiring, arriving in the United States was very exciting.

School life was an important part of the trip. We went to school with our correspondents and were well integrated. We met many students and quickly made friends. It was interesting to discover a different school system and daily life in an American school.

We also visited several interesting places. One of them was the Crocodile Encounter, which is a crocodile farm. Another highlight was the visit to the NASA center, where we saw rockets, in particulier Saturn V, and many fascinating objects like real spacesuits. The most impressive moment was when we touched a real moon rock.

There were also many fun and social moments. During the weekend, a pool party was organized at one of the Americans’ houses, which was a great time to relax and enjoy ourselves. Some students also visited Houston, while others spent time with their correspondents.

Finally, one of the best moments of the trip was the NBA game between the Houston Rockets and the Utah Jazz. The atmosphere was incredible, and the Rockets won the game in an impressive way.

At the end of the stay, saying goodbye and taking the 8-hour flight back to France was quite emotional.

My schoolmates and I would also like to thank our teachers, Mrs Dusart, Mr Renaudin, and Mrs Mitrevski, who organized and accompanied this trip. We are very grateful for their support and dedication. We also want to thank the American families who welcomed us into their homes. They were very kind and made us feel comfortable during our stay. Thanks to them, we discovered a new culture and created unforgettable memories.
